I’m a working stiff and early-career author based in Virginia, United States. I write science fiction and fantasy after Ursula K. Le Guin, Marie Brennan, and Mary Robinette Kowal. I enjoy indie rock and know too much about The Lord of the Rings.

Violet is a seven-year-old Australian Shepherd/Bluetick Coonhound mix, also based in Virginia, United States. Her oversight and emotional support make her a vital member of this writing enterprise. Her intellectual pursuits include tennis balls.
